Nick HURRLE, a blacksmith, received a patent for a Parrot Bill Staple Puller. It was
also a staple driver and wire cutter. With it any fence wire
could be removed easily and expeditiously.
He went into partnership with A.H. JEFFREY and they turned Hurrle's
blacksmith shop into manufacturing shop to manufacture the staple puller
on a large scale. (Source: The Advocate Tribune, May 3, 1894.)
