Ed MOSHER
In September 1908 Ed MOSHER of Liberty Center purchased
half interest in G.H. ACKORS Furniture and Undertaking business of
Lacona. April 1917 Ed MOSHER and Paul McFARLAND drove to
Freeport, Illinois to pick up Ed’s first motorized auto hearse. He still kept and used the horse-drawn hearse well into the 1920s
on occasions when the motor hearse mired down on the mud roads. The
Furniture and Undertaking store was torn down in 1922.
